GOOLOO GP4000 Review
A lot of cranking power and a big power bank for the money — the best of the budget packs, if you understand what the '4,000A' means.

The verdict
The GP4000 is the value pick for someone who wants GB70-class real-world performance for less than half the price and can accept a few compromises. It starts V8 gas engines reliably, the 26,800mAh cell doubles as a genuine phone-and-tablet power bank, and it has the protections that matter (reverse polarity, short circuit, over-current). The 4,000A headline is marketing — treat it as a strong 2,000A-class pack — and expect a shorter service life than a NOCO.

What we like
- +Reliably starts V6 and V8 gas engines; GOOLOO rates it for gas up to 10.0L and diesel up to 8.0L (treat as generous)
- +Large 26,800mAh capacity — a real power bank with USB-C PD and USB-A outputs
- +Smart clamps with reverse-polarity, short-circuit, over-current, and over-temperature protection
- +Bright flashlight with strobe/SOS; 12V output for an inflator
- +Consistently one of the best-reviewed budget packs over several years
What to know
- −'4,000A' isn't comparable to NOCO's ratings — it's a strong 2,000A-class performer in practice
- −Clamps and housing feel less robust than NOCO's; more owner reports of failure after 2–3 years
- −Charge retention is fine but not NOCO-grade — check it monthly
- −Generic accessories (case, cables) are the first thing to fall apart
Full review
GOOLOO has been the budget brand that actually works for years, and the GP4000 is its best all-rounder. The important thing to understand going in is the peak-amp number: there's no industry standard, and GOOLOO, like most budget brands, publishes the most flattering figure it can. In practice the GP4000 starts V8 gas pickups and big SUVs without fuss and makes a reasonable attempt at light diesels — which is excellent performance for $80, just not '4,000A' in the way NOCO would measure it.
The big cell is the other selling point. At 26,800mAh the GP4000 is a real power bank: USB-C power delivery for a phone or tablet, USB-A for the kids' devices, and a 12V port that runs a cigarette-lighter tire inflator. On a long winter road trip that versatility earns its spot more than the jump-starting does. The flashlight is bright and has SOS, and the protection set — reverse polarity, short circuit, over-temp — is complete.
The trade-offs are build and longevity. The clamps are lighter than NOCO's, the housing is plastic rather than rubber-armored, and the owner-review record shows more units dying in year two or three. Keep it in the cabin, charge it monthly, and it'll likely serve you well for several winters — just don't be surprised if it's a five-year tool rather than a ten-year one.
Best for: Budget-minded drivers who want a pack that starts a V8 and charges the family's phones, and who'll check it monthly.
