SnoBrum Original Snow Remover Review
A big polyurethane foam pad on a telescoping handle that pushes a foot of snow off a truck cab or van roof without touching the paint.

The verdict
The SnoBrum is a one-job tool that does that job better than anything else: moving large volumes of snow off big roofs. The 17-inch dense foam head slides a heavy load off a pickup cab, an SUV, or a minivan in a few strokes, the handle telescopes to around 47 inches, and the foam can't scratch clear coat. It has no scraper and no bristles, so it's a companion to a hand scraper, not a replacement for a brush. If you drive something with a big, high roof, that's the right division of labor.

What we like
- +Large 17" dense foam head moves heavy, wet snow off big roofs fast

- +Telescoping handle reaches across truck cabs, SUV roofs, and minivans
- +Simple and durable; made in the USA
- +Also clears snow off camper tops, RVs, and hot tub covers
What to know
- โNo ice scraper and no bristles โ you need a separate hand scraper
- โFoam is less effective on light, dry powder than bristles
- โHandle collapses but the head is bulky to store in a sedan trunk
- โOlder design โ no fancy locks or pivots
Full review
The SnoBrum has been around for decades and still does one thing better than the modern 3-in-1 brushes: it moves a lot of snow, fast, off surfaces you can barely reach. The head is a dense slab of polyurethane foam about 17 inches across; you set it on the far side of the roof, pull, and a whole swath of snow slides off in one motion. A foot of heavy overnight snow on a crew-cab pickup is a two-minute job. Because it's foam, it can't scratch paint โ a real consideration when the alternative is dragging a gritty bristle brush across a $50,000 truck.
The handle telescopes to around 47 inches, which on a vehicle you approach from the running board is enough to reach across the cab. It collapses for storage behind a seat. The whole thing is simple to the point of being old-fashioned โ no pivoting head, no fancy locks โ and that's part of why the design has lasted.
It's deliberately incomplete. There's no scraper, and foam isn't ideal for light, dry powder, so you'll keep a hand scraper or a short brush in the cab as well. For a sedan, a 3-in-1 brush like the AstroAI does everything in one tool. For anything with a big roof, the SnoBrum plus a $16 hand scraper is the faster, kinder-to-the-paint combination.
Best for: Pickup, full-size SUV, and van owners whose main problem is the sheer volume of snow on a big, high roof.
