NOCO Boost Pro GB150 Review
3,000 amps with a 9.0L gas / 7.0L diesel rating — NOCO's long-running flagship that sits between the GB70 and GBX155, finally back with a confirmed Amazon listing after months with no live price.

The verdict
The GB150 is the NOCO tier this guide kept circling back to and couldn't verify: a 3,000A pack with an engine rating a clear step above the GB70's 2,000A/8.0L-gas spec and the GBX75's 2,500A/8.5L-gas spec, but short of the GBX155's full 4,250A heavy-duty ceiling. It's the right size for a gas V8 or a mid-size diesel that's outgrown the GB70 but doesn't need the GBX155's weight or price. The catch is that it predates NOCO's Boost X redesign: charging is the old micro-USB/USB-A generation, not the 60W USB-C fast charging on the GBX45/GBX75/GBX155, so a flat pack takes most of a day to refill rather than a couple of hours.
Typical price: ~$300 (typical street price — current price shown on Amazon)
Buy on AmazonWhat we like
- +3,000A rating covers gas engines up to 9.0L and diesels up to 7.0L — a real step above the GB70 and GBX75, just short of the GBX155's biggest-truck ceiling
- +88Wh lithium cell — nearly triple the GB70's capacity — gives real reserve for repeated cranks on a stubborn engine
- +500-lumen flashlight with multiple modes including SOS and strobe — brighter than the GB70's and GBX75's units
- +UltraSafe spark-proof, reverse-polarity-protected clamps with manual override for fully dead batteries
- +12V accessory output rated to 15A/180W — enough to run a plug-in tire inflator, which the GBX75 above it lacks
What to know
- −No USB-C fast charging — this generation charges over micro-USB/USB-A, so a flat pack takes most of a day to refill versus a couple of hours on the newer Boost X tiers
- −Heavier than the GBX75 at a similar price point, with no charging-speed advantage to show for it
- −Same -4°F operating floor as the rest of NOCO's line — no cold-weather edge over cheaper packs
- −This older tier's Amazon listing has a history of going quiet for months at a time — confirm the Buy Box is live before counting on it
Full review
NOCO's Boost X line redrew the lineup around USB-C a few years ago, but the GB150 predates it — one of the last of the original GB-series flagships, sized between the 2,000A GB70 and the 4,250A GBX155. This guide flagged it as a WATCH candidate for five consecutive scans because the Amazon listing kept returning a confirmed title with no live Buy Box price, which made it impossible to verify despite real market presence at dealers like Defender and Battery Junction. That's resolved now: the listing (ASIN B015TKSSB8) is live with a $299.95 price, in the same band those dealers have carried it at for a while.
The spec sheet is why it was worth the wait. A 3,000A rating with a 9.0L gas and 7.0L diesel ceiling sits in real, previously uncovered territory in this guide — well past what the GB70 or GBX75 are rated for, without reaching for the GBX155's biggest-truck numbers. The 88Wh cell is nearly triple the GB70's capacity, which shows up as more cranks per charge on a stubborn engine, and the 500-lumen flashlight is brighter than anything else in the lineup short of the GBX155. A 12V accessory output rated to 15A also means it can run a plug-in tire inflator, something the GBX75 above it can't do.
What you give up is the one upgrade that's defined NOCO's last few years of jump starters: USB-C fast charging. The GB150 charges the old way — a slow port that takes most of a day to refill from empty, instead of the one to two hours the GBX75 and GBX155 manage over 60W USB-C. For a pack that otherwise competes well on amps, engine coverage, and price, that's a real ding, and it's worth asking whether the GBX75 at a similar price with faster charging suits your engine size just as well. But if 9.0L gas or 7.0L diesel coverage at this price is what you need and charge time isn't a priority, the GB150 is finally a real, confirmed option again.
Best for: Gas V8 trucks and SUVs, and mid-size diesels, where a GB70 or GBX75 is at its limit but a GBX155 is more pack than needed — for a buyer who doesn't mind skipping USB-C fast charging.
